Why these ages?

Fully fenced under-fives area with ladybird slide, swings and small rubber mushrooms — dog free, and reviewers confirm parents can let a 5yo open the gate and give younger ones freedom. Separate 5-12 area has a fort with slides, climbing and adjustable basketball hoop. Tennis courts and open community-garden lawn extend appeal for primary-age; light pull for tweens beyond the hoop.

A nice little playground for the kids. The park has a wonderful community building with good parking. A local group of enthusiatic gardeners have worked hard over the past few months to create a large number of vegetable garden plots and the results are very impressive. The park has lots of potential picnic trees for shade, and ample space to run around.

Perfect playground if you have little ones. I go here with my 5y, 3y and 10m baby. 5y can open the gate by himself so lots of freedom for him. Lots of space around the playground for biking, playing ball and running. It also have public toilets and water fountain.

Activate visited here to learn about the Community Gardens here and do a spot of weeding. We had a lovely time, and the magpies came for a shower under the hose

Was a good walk as we enjoyed the sun and the cool breeze in all that beauty of nature. And we liked that there was coffe and ice cream stall van there. Very convinient.

I would like to ask what is being done to the other parks in the area to ensure they are maintained for safety of the children that use those parks? There seems to be alot being done at this park but not all children in the Awapuni area use this park.
