Awesome park. Love the big slides. There's a hamster wheel, rope towers, many picnic tables & seats and a couple of the spinning contraptions kids love. There's also a couple mini playgrounds for toddler sized humans. Would be better if the flying fox was back up but still overall a great park.
Foster Park Adventure Playground
Rolleston 7614
Why these ages?
Destination scale with 4m metal slide, tubular slide, flying fox, rotonet and hamster wheel makes it a magnet for primary and tween kids. Junior train multi-play, infant swings, and a couple of toddler-sized mini playgrounds exist but reviewers explicitly warn to mind small children around the hamster wheel because older kids build momentum, so parents need to hover on 2-4yos. Wide flat paths, seating with sightlines, accessible carousel. No water, road or 5m+ hazards described.
Access notes
A koru shaped promenade winds to the top of the central mound giving children in wheelchairs or prams independent access to the elevated viewing platform, the large slide and the flying fox, and the inground accessibility carousel is described as purpose built for inclusive play.
