Kaipatiki Park

Kaipatiki Park is a neighbourhood playground on Kaipatiki Road in Glenfield, Auckland, set in the lower open section of a reserve that also holds sports fields and a native bush walk along the Kaipatiki Stream.

Equipment

Swings, slides, climbing structures, ropes, and a sandpit make up the equipment, with some shade over the play area. The sandpit tends to draw toddlers, while the climbing frames and ropes suit children roughly aged four to ten.

Access and Inclusion

The playground itself isn't fenced, so younger children need supervision if they wander toward the stream and bush edge. The reserve has a flat, easy path from the Kaipatiki Road entrance.

Practical Info

A stream-side bush track through regenerating native bush connects into the wider Kaipatiki reserve network, a good stretch-the-legs option after the playground. Visitors using the bush sections are asked to clean footwear at wash stations and keep dogs away from kauri root zones. Toilets and picnic seating are on site, with parking at the reserve entrance.
