Nan Bell Memorial Children's Playground

Nan Bell Memorial Children's Playground opened within the last five years in Pakuranga Heights, bringing a well considered mix of junior and active equipment to Auckland's Howick local board area.

Equipment

The layout mixes climbing, spinning, and swinging: a multi play climbing structure with a slide, a rocktopus climber, a supernova spinning frame, and swings including both an infant and a basket swing, plus a standalone slide. A fenced junior area shelters the basket swing, infant swing, and junior slide for toddlers. Two large shade sails cover the junior slide and nearby picnic tables, while the rest of the equipment and seating sit unshaded until young trees on site mature. Bark covers the play surface.

Practical Info

Picnic tables and seating are on hand, along with four drinking fountains registered by Auckland Council. On street angle parking is available nearby, and the council's smokefree policy applies across the site.
