Why these ages?

Infant swing bay and sandpit suit toddlers, but park sits on Otara Creek with no mentioned fencing (unmitigated water risk). Multi-play, giant slide and basketball court excellent for 5-12. Reviews cite 'great park for 3-12 year olds'. Toddlers need close supervision near creek edge.

Accessibility
Not accessible
- Bark or wood-chip surface (wheels sink)
Access notes

The description explicitly states the play equipment sits over a bark chip surface, a barrier for wheelchair users trying to reach it. Parking is only described generically as on street, and no accessible toilet or step free path to the equipment itself is named, so no accessible verdict is supported.

I headed down to Otamariki Park on a Sunday morning to get some basketball shooting practice in, and it was a fantastic experience. If you're looking for a peaceful spot to train, this is it. The park was incredibly quiet with only a few people out exercising, so I had plenty of space to focus on my game. Finding a spot was also a breeze since there is heaps of parking available. The biggest surprise and bonus for a public park was the toilets—they were actually clean! It’s rare to find well-maintained facilities like that, so credit to the council/maintenance team for keeping it up. There is also a massive playground for kids which looks excellent; though it was empty while I was there, it’s clearly a great spot for families. I’ll definitely be making this my regular spot for basketball from now on. Highly recommended for a quiet weekend workout!
