Access notes
Play equipment sits on artificial surfacing which is firmer than bark chip, but the source text does not describe a path, accessible parking or toilet, and the park sits on a hill ridge with the adjoining field described as very muddy in winter.
What's here
Prospect Park is a neighbourhood playground and soccer field on the edge of Dunedin North's hill ridge, with views across the Leith Valley below. The play equipment is aimed at younger children, with swings that include an infant seat, an overhead ladder and a see saw on artificial surfacing, set beside the grass playing field that Northern AFC uses as its home ground. On-street parking is available on Lachlan Avenue, and the Dunedin Botanic Garden and University of Otago campus are both a short drive away for a longer outing.
