Why these ages?

Lakefront playground on Lake Esplanade, directly beside Lake Wakatipu with no barrier - description itself warns 'position right beside the lake means supervision matters for the youngest visitors'. Small equipment set (multi-play, slide, infant swing) suits toddlers but a runaway 2-4yo is one dash from open deep water. Not a low-load environment.

The play equipment sits on artificial turf rather than bark, which is generally firmer for wheels. Only on street parking is available though, with no accessible bay or toilet described in the source text.

Quiet and relaxed place. People are walking and playing in the afternoon. You can see the lake beautiful at the sunset. Easy to access trees are changing colors in the autumn.

I think this playground is the happiest place for all kids because of amazing mountains and its surroundings.

Free parking along the park. Gem for a place like Queenstown which is difficult and expensive to park. Less than 1km walk to central

Lake Wakaputi is an iconic Queenstown lake, and its shores are home to a concentration of various facilities and attractions. It's practically impossible to capture Queenstown's scenery without including this lake in your photos. I've never visited in winter, so I don't know what it's like in other seasons, but simply walking along the lakeshore is wonderful. The air is clear and refreshing, and it feels especially pleasant in the mornings. The surrounding area is full of nature! It's an experience unlike anything you'd find even in Hokkaido, Japan. The mountains visible across Lake Wakaputi are ria coastlines, appearing to jut out of the lake. While there are many ski resorts, giving the impression of deep snow like in Japan, it never snows in the town itself. As you can see from the distant mountains, snow only covers the top half. Lake Wakaputi offers a panoramic view of this magnificent natural beauty, so I highly recommend visiting it for a morning or evening stroll if you're in Queenstown.
