A small neighbourhood reserve tucked into the residential streets of Feilding, Allan Muntz Reserve offers a quiet patch of green in a town that punches well above its weight for community parks and outdoor spaces. Feilding sits at the heart of the Manawatu district on the North Island's lower central plains, about 25 kilometres northwest of Palmerston North. It is a compact agricultural service town with a well-kept town centre, tree-lined streets and a genuine local pride in its public spaces, having won the title of New Zealand's Most Beautiful Small Town multiple times over the decades. The surrounding farmland stretches toward the Oroua River valley, and the town retains a laid-back pace that makes it an easy day trip from Palmerston North or a stopover for families travelling through the central North Island.
