Why these ages?

Junior zone is explicitly fenced off with its own multi-play structure, slide, infant swing and swings — a clean toddler-friendly containment against the duck pond, aviary and miniature railway in the wider reserve. Senior zone with rocktopus, rotonet, tree slide, flying fox, see-saws and musical panels covers primary kids well and pulls tweens in on the climbing challenge. Reviewer explicitly calls it 'a very cool area for small children and young teens'.

Accessibility

Beautiful spot. Nothing bad about it. Park maintenance people must work so hard to keep it so clean. Ducks can be really messy which leaves paths slippery but this place is great. Lots of seats for a walk and a rest.

Kowhai Park is a great place to visit, use and enjoy. The duck pond has lots of ducks and it's a great space to walk around them all and also take in the beautiful gardens and walking spaces. It is close to a fantastic playground for children of all ages and the walkways are great for all ages too.
