Why these ages?

Explicitly designed for older kids — flying fox, overhead ladder, log scramble and two-person see-saw. A reviewer says 'took my 3yr old grandson but was limited to what he could do. There are other playgrounds in the area more suitable for younger ones.' No infant swing or toddler-scale multi-play. Suburban Prestons estate, no water or arterial road hazard. Perfect for 6-11yo siblings.

Accessibility
Partial access

Access notes

Description explicitly says the Prestons footpath network is smooth and flat on the approach, but the play area itself is a bark surface, which blocks a wheelchair from reaching the actual equipment.

Equipment

Aviemore Park Playground is a newer play area in the Prestons residential estate in Marshland, opened within the last five years, built around a flying fox, an overhead ladder, tunnels, a two-person see-saw and a log scramble, a solid set for primary-school-aged kids with older siblings to keep up with.

Nice playground for the bigger kids. Has a couple of tunnels, some Climbing to be done, and a cool balance walking see saw. Add in a flying fox and you got a cool little play area. And Aviemore, great Scottish name!
