So close to the centre of Nelson with an extensive network of shared walkways, a beautiful mix of native and exotic trees - a favourite of mine for walking the dog and enjoying nature.

Tracks to the "Centre of New Zealand", as well as other tracks, which were a little confusing to navigate at times. Sign posting of tracks could be improved. There a track at the righthand side top with fruit trees. Multiple parking and entry points to the tracks

Essential heart of Nelson, along the Maitai river. This is a lovely park, great for walking with sport fields too. There are three popular swimming spots and public toilets.

Absolutely recommend visiting. This Nelson Park is definitely in my top 10 parks of New Zealand, dog friendly from March to December every year. One of the best places to relax, play or even swim no matter who you are you should definitely visit this park.
