Cloverlea Recreation Reserve

Cloverlea Recreation Reserve's playground takes a different approach from the usual swing and slide setup, built around climbing mounds, a see-saw, a rocker, a climbing wall, hanging rings and balance equipment near the reserve's scenic retention pond. The ten and a half acre reserve in Pukekohe also has a flying fox and wooden climbing forts, and well maintained walking trails around the pond.

Equipment

Best suited to school age children given the active, physical character of the equipment; there are no dedicated infant items. A barbecue, drinking fountain and picnic tables sit on site, and the surface is artificial throughout.

Practical Info

On street parking is available on Jackson Place. Dogs are allowed off leash under control across the reserve, which is open daily from 6am to 10pm. The flat layout is straightforward with a pushchair, and Auckland Council's asset register confirms the site is within the Franklin local board area.
