Domini Park

Domini Park brings a well rounded set of playground equipment to a fenced junior area on Trevathan Lane, mixing infant swings, a junior slide, a spring loaded see saw, spring toys, a bowl rocker, a junior climbing frame, and a junior car with a flying fox beyond the fence line, suiting ages from early walking through to around ten.

Equipment

Inside the fenced junior area sit infant swings, a junior slide, a spring loaded see saw, spring toys, a bowl rocker, a junior climbing frame, and a junior car, giving younger children a self contained set of equipment scaled to their size. A flying fox sits outside the fence line, extending the range for older children. Bark covers the ground throughout.

Access and Inclusion

The fenced junior area is the playground's main access feature, letting young children explore independently while caregivers watch from nearby seating. The infant swing suits children from early walking age, and the junior scaled equipment throughout the fenced zone is built to that same age group.

Practical Info

Toilets, a drinking fountain, a barbecue, and seating are available on site, along with a couple of gazebos providing some covered seating. There is no shade over the play equipment itself, though young trees on site may offer some shade as they mature. On street parking runs along Trevathan Lane. The playground predates 2008, making it one of the longer established sites in the area, and sits under the Queenstown Lakes District Council's smokefree policy.
