Why these ages?

Broad equipment set — dinosaur slide, junior slide, infant swings, spring toy, hammock swing, climbing net, bowl rocker and bars — covers all ages. Description explicitly warns the playground sits adjacent to Lake Wānaka and to keep a close eye on young children; a reviewer flags the carpark side isn't fully fenced. Water is a distance away rather than at the equipment edge, but adjacency plus open carpark side lowers toddler confidence. Toddlers love the dinosaur but need constant supervision here.

Access notes

Bark softfall runs beneath the equipment per the description, a hard barrier for wheelchair users. A review also notes it was hard to follow a toddler around with a pram. Off street parking is available, but no accessible toilet or firm path is mentioned.

The min we arrived in wanaka my daughter seen the huge dinosaur slide and demanded to go there. She loved it that was the biggest slide she's ever been on. Nice and clean. Would definitely go back next time in area. I can't quite remember but I think my only concern would of been wasn't completely fenced off on one side by carpark which could be dangerous.

Nobody seemed to have mentioned the slackline and firespinning gatherings every Thursday (not sure if that's also during winter). Bring your own toys or just come and enjoy! ig _tomasmacha_

Located lakeside on the Lakeside Road end of the lake, this park has a playground with a dinosaur as a slide. There is a large parking lot beside it so it is easy to get to. As Wanaka isn't too big it is also walkable in case the parking …
