Edinburgh Crescent Playground

Edinburgh Crescent Playground is a medium-sized neighbourhood reserve in Waikiwi, Invercargill, with a varied equipment set for its size. A giraffe climbing frame is the eye-catching centrepiece, alongside a carriage swing, a T-bar tyre swing, a see-saw, a standard slide and a maypole spinner, all on an artificial surface.

Equipment

The carriage swing suits toddlers needing a safer ride option, while the giraffe climbing frame and maypole hold the interest of older children, with the maypole's rotational play suiting small groups well.

Access and Inclusion

The artificial surface gives a consistent underfoot feel across the whole site, though no accessible pathway or inclusive equipment is documented here.

Practical Info

On-street parking is available along Edinburgh Crescent, with seating for supervising adults. There is no shade over the equipment or seating at midday.
