Essex St Recreation Reserve

Essex Street Recreation Reserve in Tamatea, Napier is a well equipped neighbourhood playground with an inground trampoline, a spider net climber, an inground carousel, and a multi play structure with slide, backed by a half basketball court. Infant and basket swings make it workable for toddlers too, alongside older primary age kids on the spider net and half court.

A shade sail covers the picnic tables, though the play equipment itself has no shade. On street parking is available, and the playground opened within the last five years.
