Gilleta Road Park Playground

Best suited to
All ages0–12+

Why these ages?

Description explicitly calls out 'a fenced junior area gives the youngest visitors a defined, safer zone', backed by infant swing, balance logs and see-saw. Great mix for older kids too — multi-play with supernova disc + climbing net + adjacent skatepark for tweens. The fenced toddler zone lets parents lower supervision cost dramatically. Lynfield Cove Beach and Wairaki Stream are along the wider Waikowhai Walkway, not immediately at play equipment.

Accessibility
Not accessible
- Bark or wood-chip surface (wheels sink)
Access notes

Description explicitly states bark surfacing cushions the equipment footprint throughout, a clear barrier for wheelchair users, despite off street parking being directly available at the park.

. (12/2017) Little beautiful playground for children located next to Lynfield Cove Beach and at the end of Wairaki Stream Reserve. Well maintained and equipped for kids to enjoy. This playground is dog friendly. Dog litter bags are provided at the entrance. Lot of seating area surrounding the playground is good way for guardians to keep an eye on kids. Seating and benches are provided for taking rest and enjoying the views. There is ample parking space for the playground visitors. Wheelchair parking is available and there is wheelchair accessible entrance. Public restrooms are available at this location.
