Hanley's Farm Playground

Hanley's Farm Playground is an adventure themed play space near Kawarau Falls, built around swings with an infant bay, a tubular slide, a flying fox, a large spinner, inground trampolines and water play, with an accessibility carousel giving wheelchair users a way into the action.

Equipment

A basket swing and musical play add options for younger children, and the equipment continues into a skatepark and pump track for bikes, scooters and skateboards on the same site. Bark surfacing covers the play equipment area.

An accessibility carousel is built into the play area, giving wheelchair users and children with mobility needs a way to join in alongside everyone else.

Practical Info

On street angle parking serves the site. A large shade sail covers the water play area, though the rest of the play equipment sits unshaded, with some cover from a gazebo over the barbecue and a shade sail for seating. Queenstown Lakes District Council runs a smokefree policy at the playground, and a drinking fountain, barbecue, picnic tables and seating are on site.
