Howick Domain Playground splits into two clear zones, a well equipped play space for older children and a separate area built for toddlers, with a standalone swing set and fitness stations lining the path nearby. It rewards a full afternoon rather than a quick stop, sitting inside one of Auckland's most storied reserves, the site around which the fencible settlement of Howick grew from 1847.

We took our 10mo old there and there is a tunnel, swing and those spring rockers babies can play on, the rest is more for bigger kids. The playground isnt sheltered which is a huge pity! There is a big field next door - great to running around, kicking a ball etc. There are also a couple free tennis courts, BYO racket and balls.
