The description states the reserve is mostly sloping, which limits flat space, and a review confirms it is mostly sloping too, so the ridge site is a real barrier even though the equipment sits on an artificial surface.

Perched on a ridge above Sommerset Heights in Hamilton's Huntington suburb, this small playground has a rare asset for the city: a sweeping view south to Mount Pirongia and west to the Hakarimata Range.

This reserve and playground is on the ridge above Sommerset Heights, with a great view out over Hamilton and south to Pirongia and west the the Hakarimata range. It's mostly sloping so not too much room for games on the grass but cricket is possible. Standard set of swings and playground equipment.
