Kahawairahi Playground

Kahawairahi Playground is a small playground in Beachlands, on Auckland's Pohutukawa Coast, combining a multi-play structure with slides, a swing set that includes both an infant seat and a basket swing, and a bowl roller for a mix of active and gentler play. The spread of infant-friendly pieces alongside the bowl roller and multi-play structure means it works for toddlers and early primary children in the same visit.

The play surface is bark. Public toilets, picnic tables and seating are on site.

Practical Info

There's no shade directly over the play equipment, though a couple of nearby trees offer some relief at other times of day, so an early or late visit suits summer best. Parking is off street. The site is smokefree under Auckland Council policy.
