Mackay Drive Playground

Mackay Drive Playground is a small neighbourhood playground in Greenhithe, in Auckland's Upper Harbour area, built around a multi spinner carousel rather than the usual slide and climbing frame combination.

Equipment

The carousel is the standout, a specialised piece that spins rather than climbs, paired with a galaxy play module, swings with an infant seat, and a small scooter track, an unusual combination for a park this size. Toddlers are well served by the infant swing and the carousel together. The surface is bark chip.

Practical Info

Picnic tables sit on site, and street parking is available on Mackay Drive itself. The playground has been part of the neighbourhood since before 2019.
