Marewa Park

Herrick Street, Marewa, Napier 4110

ParksPlaygroundsSports
Best suited to
Toddler-friendly0–4
Why these ages?

A reviewer flags it as 'best suited for 2-3-4-5 year olds' with only swings, small slide and see-saws - explicitly a toddler-scaled park. Artificial surface, infant swing seat, spring rocker for the youngest. No fencing but no water/road/skate hazards, sits inside a landscaped sportsground. Underwhelming for older kids or tweens.

Accessibility
Partial access
Access notes

The play area is described as sitting on an artificial surface rather than bark, which is generally firmer for wheels, but no ramps, dedicated accessible parking, or accessible toilet are mentioned, only ordinary on street parking.

As I do the maintenance on this park, I'm a bit bias about this park. It's a hidden gem of a park, to which I hold in high regard. It's great to see it being used alot more now days with many codes using its open spaces & high standard of keeping on this ground. By staff & sports people alike.

It's a nice wide open area for kicking or throwing balls. There's a small playground for the kids.

Watched my son play cricket there this morning. Lovely park with playback, pity the toilets weren't open though.

A great place for the kids. Good to see different equipment. A bit of shade for the adults would be good.
