Mulcahy Park

Mulcahy Park's playground is a medium sized play area on Spring Road in Gleniti, one of the newer residential pockets on the southern edge of Timaru.

Equipment

The playground has swings including an infant bay, a slide, a flying fox, a spinning disk, a climbing frame and a tubular slide, on an artificial safety surface.

Access and Inclusion

Picnic tables sit on site, with on street parking on Spring Road and well maintained paths connecting to the surrounding neighbourhood.

History and Cultural

Mulcahy Park was established to serve Gleniti's newer housing catchment, alongside an extensive tree and shrub planting programme that is expected to add more shade over time.

Timaru District Council operates a smokefree policy at the playground.
