Nixon Park is a large park having great facilities e.g. flood lights etc. for Rugby and other games. The access is via Central Road and Bond Street on the other end. We parked on Central Road while visiting this park. There is a kids skate park along with a full sized basket ball court. There is a small kids playground installed on site too. This makes the area equally popular with families. We visited it on a weekend and the day was bright and sunny. Kids had a great time in the playground and spent a lot of time having fun there. Athol Morris walkway goes through this park. Overall highly recommended.

Why these ages?
Junior corner explicitly has small carousel, junior slide and basket swing for younger visitors; embankment slides built into a grass bank are toddler-friendly by design (no fall height). Description says it suits toddlers through early primary. Skatepark and basketball half-court extend appeal to tweens. Skate is a separate zone within the wider reserve so it's distance not adjacency.
Access notes
The description says the play surface is a mix of artificial matting and grass, and although one review reports no accessible parking, the description states off street parking is on site, so overall access is unclear.
