Parkside Playground

Parkside Playground on Alexandra Street sits in one of Timaru's quieter inner suburbs, within walking distance of the Timaru Botanic Gardens.

Equipment

The playground has swings, including an infant swing and a you-and-me swing, plus a rope swing, on an artificial surface.

Access and Inclusion

Established trees around the park shade the picnic table and seating, though not the play equipment directly. On-street parking is available.

Practical Info

The Botanic Gardens, recognised as a Garden of National Significance, are an easy walk away with ponds, an aviary and a fernery, making a natural extension to a Parkside playground visit. Timaru District Council keeps the site smokefree.
