Pihanga Reserve Playgroud

Pihanga Reserve's playground is a compact, modern play space in Taupo named for the maunga that rises south of the lake, sacred to Ngati Tuwharetoa and central to a well known Maori legend about the mountains around Lake Taupo.

Equipment

Equipment includes a multi-play structure with a slide, swings with an infant seat and a basket swing, and a climbing net, set on artificial turf with no shade over the play area.

Practical Info

Picnic tables sit beside the playground, with on street parking. The basket and infant swings make this a solid stop for toddlers as well as primary age kids.
