Awesome place to visit. Great historic site with loads of information to read. Lots of shade and a great spot to have a pinic. Great view of the potato and onion fields, and a wonderful view of Pukekohe.

Pukekohe Hill Reserve
340 Anzac Road, Pukekohe 2120
Why these ages?
Not a destination playground - a summit reserve with a modest traditional play area (swings, slide, climbing frame) near the carpark. Description says 'traditional equipment... enough to hold attention of primary aged children'. Full sun, no shade. Play area sits next to the summit carpark with no fencing. Toddler-viable but nothing dedicated.
Access notes
Description explicitly notes the play area sits near the car park at the top of Anzac Road, and singles it out as better suited than the steep summit walk for prams and less mobile visitors. No accessible parking, toilet or surface detail is given for the play area itself.

Equipment
Pukekohe Hill Reserve sits at the highest point in Pukekohe, a summit reserve of around 7 hectares where sweeping views across the Franklin countryside and, on a clear day, out toward the Hauraki Gulf, reward the climb up Anzac Road. It is one of the region's more distinctive parks: not a conventional destination playground, but a place where a play area, a summit lookout and a genuinely deep cultural landscape sit side by side.
