Big kid park - tunnel, slides, monkey bars, rope bridge swing, mini trampolines, spring rockers, half basketball court. Adjacent bike park with pump tracks and jumping track plus Learn-to-Ride mini-street. Great for primary and tween ages. Toddlers have spring rockers but the strengths (bike park, monkey bars) are big-kid. SH3 noise mentioned in reviews.

Springvale Park has lots to offer. Gymnastics for children, a multifunctional pool centre, pump track, a track for kids to learn how to bike and giveway and a bbq area with seating. Also an area for freedom camping is designated. To achieve 5 stars, I think the facilities at the pools and gym club could be updated. Also the staff at the pool are laid back but could be a little friendly and more upbeat.

Stayed for two nights and was very happy with area and facilities provided by the Whanganui Council. Plenty of parking for large caravans with a waste station fresh water and a short walk to get your coffee fix at BP. We even took the kids for a swim in the heated pools right next door. Thanks Whanganui we will be back

This Splash center is super for families, children, and adults of all ages. Our family of 5, including a grandma with a sore foot, a 16yr old, 11 yr, 4yr, and their mum, all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

Great place for all the sports. Large sports field - great for flying kites or kicking a ball around. Pool is great! Bike track is lots of fun for the kids to ride around on, including the track with traffic lights for the younger ones. …

Nice quiet spot, for many motorhomes. And the good thing is there is a dump station on site with fresh water.

We used the freedom camp. Parked up for two nights in designated parks. We always feel safe here.

Lovely and quiet, my mate stays here in his house truck. Has the splash available meters away. My only issue has been resolved, the free camp ground had no rubbish bins but I got a surprise to see there is finally a bin... well done, highly recommended

A wide open space, great for all the different sports held here, great for exercising the dog's when it's sport free and wonderful for kite flying! They even have the circus when it visit's and often the gypsy fair. Perhaps the only downside is that it tends to flood. It backs onto the boys and girls gym, the splash centre, the new sport's Wang complex and the jubilee stadium where numerous sport's event's are held.😊🚶🤸🏊
