Why these ages?

Natural-play design with logs, rocks, fort, hut and climbing structures on bark rewards exploratory play best suited to primary and tween ages ('floor is lava' with stones and ropes). Toddlers can dabble but no infant swings or dedicated junior zone. The site is tidal and doubles as storm-surge drainage on a former Modellers' Pond, so periodic water pooling and the adjacent estuary create a water hazard parents need to manage. Shade sail and seating support supervision.

Access notes

The natural play area is built around logs and rocks on bark surfacing per the description, a hard barrier for wheelchair users, and the climbing focused design further limits access. On street parking is available nearby, but no accessible toilet or firm path is mentioned.

Sweet as little adventure park, close to parking, beach, food places, and other summer entertainment like the waterpark and go karts. Shady seating for parents/guardians/grandparents, and super sturdy play structures!

Gorgeous park, so thoughtfully designed with plenty of space for children/adults to climb, sit, eat, gather together. Beautiful native plants. It's a *tidal* place (saw someone complaining about it not having water) and also functions as storm surge drainage, which is pretty cool. Awesome conversion of the old modellers pond, well done to the Council.

Doesn't have any water where it should, so looks a tiny bit incomplete, but has a good series of fun structure for kids to play around in
