Why these ages?

Description explicitly names a 'dedicated fenced area' for toddlers holding smaller swings, slide, tunnel and see-saw, separate from the double flying fox, timber climbing frame and basketball court. Renovated 2023, themed with tuna/matuku wetland motifs on soft safety surfacing. Sits adjacent to a state highway (real road risk) but reviewer says it's 'well shielded from the road' and the toddler zone is fenced. Shade sails, toilets, BBQ.

Access notes

A paved walkway runs alongside the park and reviewers describe smooth paths for skating and biking plus a picnic table with a wheelchair gap, but the play surfacing material and accessible parking are not confirmed in the source text.

Sweet park. Good big field. Flying fox is a bit low and needs an oil but its great. Dont bump your butt. Table with a gap for a wheelchair. Toilets are decent, smelly but seemingly clean. No hand towels or air dryer though? Free BBQs. Its a good spot. Just bring a towel for drying your hands 🤣 …

Nice park in Ohauiti. Came here first time with my kids and they enjoyed the playground, slides, swings, etc. There’s a bbq, half basketball court and toilets. Parking is mostly on the road.

A nice park with a barbecue and a small playground that is good for approx ages 0-8. Lots of green space for picnics and there is a paved walkway immediately adjacent to the park that runs from Ohauiti Road to Poike Road along the state highway. It’s well shielded from the road (although a lot of traffic noise) and well used, so a good place for walking or cycling with kids or alone.

Nice enough area despite being right by a busy highway. Has a bbq and a couple of picnic tables. A small play area and lots of trees for shade on the outskirts. Does need a public toilet and would benefit with more playground apparatuses. Perhaps a skate bowl too.
