Access notes

An accessible entrance and off street parking make it straightforward to reach the play area, but the surface underfoot is bark rather than poured rubber, explicitly noted as difficult for a wheelchair or pram over uneven ground. A review also mentions the ground is not very flat.

Equipment

Tutarawānanga Yatton Park in Parkvale pairs a compact playground built around balance equipment with a much larger reserve of towering, century-old trees, open lawns and walking paths, so a stop at the equipment often turns into a longer wander under the canopy.

Nice park for walking. Not much set up for children. Some great trees alongside the path, many labeled with descriptions. Toilets sometimes clean and sometimes trashed. Some views out to the water. BBQ setting. Plenty of car parks available.

I can’t believe we hadn’t visited this park before! We live nearby and pass it often, but a friend recommended it as a great spot for a walk, so we finally decided to check it out today. …

I loved that you can bring dogs here! Poo bags provided by council. Lovely place to picnic. Some things for kids to play on, not alot but enough to keep them busy for a little while.

Very nice and well maintained park. The park contains a fountain, a tiny waterfall, a narrow creek, and a little bridge, all of which are quite picturesque. There are a lot of shades in the park and some park benches are available to relax. …

A Sunday with not much to do long weekend led me to this park. Hop on the bus but walk back to 13th and Fraser. Dog and child friendly park with a little playground. Had a walk around while kids and dogs are running around. The mini fountain/waterfalls feature was without water. Big picnic area in the center or further back. Nice stroll over all.

Beautiful place, dog friendly. I love getting lost amongst the old trees. I love the improvements that they have made. Couldn't resist stopping to admire the kaka beak plant. Love the diversity of bird life.

Great location. Easy access by car, walk, scooter or skateboard? Large area to walk, play, have a bbq. Walking track which is closed atm. Places to sit and look out over water. Most often a clean and tidy environment. Saddly as dogs are walked there, there is occasionally dog #2s left where people walk.
