The kids had an absolute blast at the bike track, especially loved riding around the roundabout and following the road signs—it felt like a real mini road system for them. The play area is really well set up, with great swings and relaxing hammocks that made it enjoyable for both kids and adults. Such a fun, well-designed space that kept everyone entertained for ages.
Te Whariki Playground
111 Southfield Drive, Lincoln 7608
Why these ages?
The playground is designed for toddlers and wheelchair users to play side by side, with an infant swing, basket swing and spring toys for the youngest, a bike and scooter track, tube slide, climbing structure and interactive bridge for primary aged children, and a high rope climber described as a first for the Canterbury region plus a half basketball court for older kids. Reviews confirm the bike track and swings are popular with young children.
Access notes
Description states the Cyclone accessibility carousel is built for wheelchair users and parents with prams, with wide flat paths connecting it to the rest of the playground. Artificial safety surfacing covers the play zone, though no accessible parking or toilet is specifically named.
