Tekaumarua Reserve - playground

Tekaumarua Reserve is a quiet neighbourhood playground on Mortlake Heights in Pyes Pa, part of Tauranga's Lakes residential development, with stairs leading directly down to The Lakes shopping centre.

Equipment

The equipment is a solid junior set on a bark surface: a swing frame with belt swings plus a pair of toddler bucket seats, a slide, monkey bars, a see-saw, and a roundabout, with a small carousel nearby.

Access and Inclusion

The reserve is mostly open grass with no formal hard surface under the equipment and no shade over the play area. On street parking is available on Mortlake Heights.

Practical Info

A set of stairs from the reserve crosses to The Lakes shopping centre for a coffee or a supermarket stop. There is no toilet on site. Tauranga City Council's smokefree policy applies.
