This is a great playground. Some of the better features to chose from in playground design were utilised when they put this up. Made it easier to actually play WITH my kid cause I could do some of tge things as well. Cool flying fox, too. Nice
The Lakes Playground
154 Lakes Boulevard, Pyes Pa, Tauranga 3173
Why these ages?
Separated toddler zone with mini inground trampoline, tunnels, rocking horse, infant swing, spring toy. 40m flying fox, swing bridge, monkey bars for older. Shade sails cover play areas. Lake Taurikura is in wider walking network but not directly at playground edge - accessed by paths. Toddler zone set apart from older equipment reduces parent load.
Access notes
Description explicitly confirms off street parking with mobility spaces and sealed paths through the reserve, but the play equipment surface is a mix of artificial turf and bark chip, a barrier for wheelchair users.
What's here
The Lakes Playground at Caslani Reserve is one of Tauranga's best-equipped neighbourhood play spaces, built to suit a wide age range. A 40-metre flying fox is the headline attraction for older children, backed by a rope swing, monkey bars, and a swing bridge, while a separate toddler zone keeps younger children close by.
