Turnbull Thomson Park
199 Islington Street, Turnbull Thomson Park, Invercargill 9810
Why these ages?
Modest neighbourhood set (swings + infant swing, slide, horse rocker, climbing frame carousel, monorail, accessibility swing) on artificial surface in a 40ha reserve. Not fenced and the wider reserve is split by a street and railway line, plus doubles as an off-leash dog area, but the play area itself isn't right next to those. Toddler-scaled equipment; older kids get the fitness cube and sports fields.
Access notes
Description names an accessibility swing for inclusive play and states equipment sits on an artificial surface, giving a firm surface and a transfer point, but it does not confirm accessible parking or a step free path.

Equipment
Turnbull Thomson Park's playground sits inside one of Invercargill's largest multi use reserves, a 40 hectare green space in south Invercargill split into four sections by Lindisfarne Street and the Main South railway line. The equipment itself is a modest neighbourhood set, with the surrounding walking and cycling network and dog exercise area doing much of the drawing power.
