Victoria Park

Victoria Park's children's playground sits on the northern side of this Stratford reserve, with slides, swings and climbing structures for toddlers through to older primary age kids, right beside the purpose built Stratford Children's Bike Park and its pump track.

Equipment

The playground has climbing and balance elements alongside slides and swings suited to a broad age range. Next door, the bike park is built around a children's cycle education track where kids navigate a miniature replica of Stratford's Broadway Glockenspiel tower, working traffic lights, a roundabout and give way signs, and a looped asphalt pump track of rollers and berms serves scooters and bikes of all levels. A half basketball court and a covered BBQ pavilion round out the active zone.

The Area

The park's central lake, once used by fishermen and boaters, is now home to a resident duck population, with a sealed walking track suited to prams and young walkers wanting to feed the ducks. The reserve was originally Fenton Street Domain before being renamed Victoria Park in 1897, and it sits a short walk from Stratford's Broadway shops and the town's full size Glockenspiel clock tower.
