Why these ages?

2021 ecology-themed redevelopment with two giant slides, acorn fort tower, infant swing, junior multi-play structure, musical station and beginners bike track. Excellent all-weather accessible surfacing. But it sits on the edge of Te Wai Orea lake with no fencing described between the play zones and the water. Real toddler zone but the parent still needs sightlines to the lake.

Western Springs Park's playground is an ecological escape built around two giant slides, an acorn fort tower, a giant basket swing and a carousel, with percussion play, low tunnels, interactive boards and rope structures woven through a beginners bike and scooter track. It sits on the lake's northern, zoo side entrance near Motions Road, giving families a big multi age play space right next to Te Wai Orea, the water of eels.

A beautiful park for a family day out! The playground is fantastic with lots to keep kids entertained, and there’s plenty of open space for picnics. Lovely walking paths around the lake with ducks and swans to spot. Free entry and easy to combine with a visit to the zoo nearby.

Great playground for small and older kids alike. There are several challenging (but safe) features for my 12 year old, and giant slides (think 30-40 meters high) for my 8 year old. Great way to burn off energy. Be aware that the picnic tables have splinters!

Lovely place for kids of all traits. A Japanese Garden at the entrance offers a much needed meditative calmness before the free spirits run wild. If the acorn-themed climbing ropes and slides, or the swings and spins, aren't challenging enough for the fun-seekers, then chasing after birds of different types and sizes on the lush green lawn or scootering along the glistening lake won't fail to wear off the energetic youth. Ice creams from the nearby Cafe surely put the icing on the top for a wonderful outing like this. 😀

Kids enjoy this park alot, so much to do. Toilets, seatings, cool place to chill and walk around the pond. Theres also a food place where we always get ice cream and hot chips, it's connected to the zoo.
