WIRI Playground

Beside an ornamental lake in Wiri, South Auckland, WIRI Playground is a medium sized, recently built playground offering active and sensory equipment side by side: swings, a slide, a pendulum swing, a rotonet spinning frame, and balance logs.

Equipment

Toddlers can access the slide with a caregiver's help, while the pendulum swing, rotonet, and balance logs suit slightly older children after a spin or a balance challenge. Bark chip covers the fall zone.

Practical Info

A drinking fountain and seating are on site. The lake's edge sits close to the play area, so caregivers with toddlers should keep half an eye on the water. Parking is on street along Trevor Hosken Drive. WIRI Playground opened within the last five years.
