Why these ages?

Reviewer confirms 'little side playground for toddlers and small kids is great' - deliberate toddler zone with junior slide and basket swing separated from the higher obstacle course. Older siblings get climbing tower, rotonet, inground trampoline. Quiet Orewa street, no water/road/skate hazards. Some concern about ropes on the tall structure but that's a separate zone, not the toddler area.

Wonderful playground suitable for all ages. Fantastic obstacle course for the older kids (and young at heart adults) plus a miniature version for the younger children too. Can get very hot and there's minimal shade.

Kids enjoyed playing there. Tiny one but worth visiting with kids. However, a very limited amount of activities are available

As someone who thoroughly enjoys playgrounds, here’s what I think. The little side playground for toddlers and small kids is great. I believe that there is a lot of fun to be had there. But what I don’t understand is how half done the bigger playground is. Like why are the only links between the tall wooden posts just single red ropes to stand on with another by your head? These were quite loose and should be tighter fixed, and also closer together. So coming from someone who is 6 foot tall, I don’t think many younger people would find reaching and climbing as comfortable as it should be. Moreover, they should have incorporated various other types of traversal around the tower/ rope basket. All there was, were those infamous single ropes as well as flat nets (seemingly for sitting and standing on). These also have gaps between them of about 30cm, which is just too much to balance enjoyably (also quite flimsy). If they had just included other rubber like materials, they could have made far nicer playing areas up in the ropes. I will say that I did like the addition of the slide, but there was a serious lack in different ways to play there making it unnecessarily boring/ dangerous to have fun. Additional benches with table tops as well as swing sets and a trampoline did help make the rating higher, but this had more potential to be better than what it is. - Teenager in the neighbourhood

Excellent playground equipment from small stuff for toddlers to a mini confidence course for climbing with a thoughtful design, but very hot on a still sunny summer's day with precious little shade
