Barnett Street Reserve

Barnett Street Reserve in central Putaruru has a small, fairly new playground with a basket swing and a multi play structure with a slide, set on bark alongside an open lawn.

A barbecue and picnic tables sit under a shade gazebo, though the play equipment itself has no shade. Street parking is available on Barnett Street. Putaruru grew from an 1880s railway settlement and sits close to Te Waihou Puna, the Blue Spring that supplies around 70 percent of New Zealand's commercially bottled water.
