Birkenhead Playground

Birkenhead Playground on Mahara Avenue in Auckland is a well rounded playground on the North Shore, offering more than most neighbourhood sites.

Equipment

A multi play structure with a slide and a swing set with an infant seat are joined by a small carousel, a pump track and a skate ramp, so both young children and pre teens have something to do.

Practical Info

The playground is surfaced with bark, with public toilets, a paddling pool, a drinking fountain and a fitness station on the same grounds, and shade sails cover the play equipment. The playground sits next to a swimming pool that charges entry, with parking available on Mahara Avenue.
