Hinemoa Park sits right beside the Birkenhead Ferry Terminal on Auckland's North Shore, so children on the swings look straight across the Waitemata Harbour to the city skyline, and it's one of the few Auckland playgrounds families can reach by ferry without a car. The playground is on the smaller side, with swings including an infant swing, a slide, a supernova spinner and a climbing net.

The location is conveniently situated adjacent to the ferry terminal and a nearby boat ramp. It features a children's playground and an area suitable for dogs, which leads to Shelly Beach. A small picnic table is available. The site offers impressive city views. For ease of access, driving is recommended due to the potential steep terrain inbound

Small park by the wharf, love the view of the Harbour bridge from a distance. Few parking spaces available, Nice to sit here for chat or coffee while kids play. It has one bbq pit you can use but no clean toilets. Me and my family always walk from our house to this little park and its fairly quiet and peaceful.

Great place to see city views, especially on festival time to see the " Harbor Bridge" lighting show. You can have a ferry ride to the city from here. …

It’s always good to have a rest beside the beach and looking to the Harbour bridge. Most of the time I will have a bottle of coke for the vending machine !
