Awesome open and accessible place to relax and/or go walking
Caernarvon Park
Dinsdale, Hamilton 3204
Why these ages?
Recently upgraded (early 2026) with double slide, 5 swings, climbing walls, monkey bars, rope tunnel and basketball hoops under mature oaks; one reviewer says great for under-5s. Sits atop a steep bank down to the sports field so toddlers wandering could take a tumble. No fencing, no adjacent water/skate/road hazards on quiet Dinsdale streets.
Access notes
The description explicitly states the playground sits at the top of a steep bank above the main flat area of the park, with the connecting pathway descending the western side, and the play equipment itself is on a grass surface. Together these represent a steep approach and a grass only surface, both real barriers to wheelchair access.
What's here
Caernarvon Park is a small, older neighbourhood reserve in Dinsdale, Hamilton, with a simple playground perched at the top of a steep bank above the park's main flat area. The play equipment is minimal, making this a quick stop for families passing through rather than a destination visit.
