Why these ages?

6.67ha sports reserve with a wooden Viking ship climbing structure as centrepiece — description explicitly says it suits primary-school-aged kids. Distinctive theme is fun for 5+ climbers. Very little dedicated toddler equipment mentioned, open field, no shade, no fence. Big open space is good for a run around but toddler equipment set is thin.

Celaeno Park is a 6.67 hectare sports reserve in Kelvin Grove, Palmerston North, named after a star in the Pleiades cluster and built around a Viking ship playground structure that nods to the Scandinavian immigrants who settled the area in the late 19th century. The play area suits primary school aged children drawn to the ship themed climbing structure.

My local sports field and it is maintained well. Not sure why the goals are left up in summer. Grounds keeper needs to take them down in summer.

Really enjoyed being at the park, it was so hot there but no shade, 1 or 2 small trees but really needs something more

This is great for the grandchildren! Our eldest grandchild enjoyed it and now we have another little one to take there.
