Why these ages?

Fully fenced perimeter with a separately fenced junior zone (own scaled slide + spring toy) makes this the archetypal 'let toddlers loose' setup. Boat-themed multi-play, infant swing, basket swing. Beach and esplanade road are directly outside but the fence contains the play area. Older kids will use beach next door; tweens will find it modest.

Access notes

Description explicitly states the fall zones are surfaced in bark, and there is no Access and Inclusion section or any mention of accessible parking or inclusive play equipment anywhere in the text.

Eastern Beach Playground sits right across the esplanade from Auckland's Eastern Beach, its climbing structures built around a boat shaped theme that nods to the water just metres away. A fully fenced perimeter and separate junior zone make it a comfortable stop for toddlers as well as older kids heading to the sand afterward.
