Gainsborough Reserve Playground

Gainsborough Reserve Playground is a small, woodchip surfaced play space in Hoon Hay, centred on a small multi play structure with a slide, a solo spinner, a supernova rotating piece and swings with an infant seat.

Equipment

The multi play structure and infant swing suit younger children with some assistance, making the site workable for a toddler and sibling visit. The supernova and solo spinner cater to the slightly older primary school crowd who want something more active. The play area covers around 284 m² of woodchip, with seating available for adults on site.

Access and Inclusion

The infant swing and multi play structure give younger visitors a way in, while the spinner and supernova hold the interest of older siblings on the same visit.

Practical Info

On street parking is available along Gainsborough Street. No on site toilet facilities are confirmed. Hoon Hay Park on Mathers Road, about a kilometre to the northwest, adds sports fields, a skatepark and a larger play area for a fuller family outing.
