Why these ages?

Fenced junior area explicitly separates youngest visitors from the wider sports park. Infant swing, basket swing, multi play structure and climbing module are pitched at toddlers/young children, with 2023 renovation. Waikumete Stream runs through the wider park but the fenced play zone mitigates. Limited pull for primary-age children beyond the multi-play; almost nothing for tweens.

Access notes

Description explicitly names accessible toilets and changing rooms at the car park plus mobility parking open daily, though the play surface material itself is not described in the source text.

Nice place to walk around the field. There is a play area for the children. They often have sports matches. Parking is very limited. There is also a hall for hire

Quite a big field which is great for many activities like running, football, softball and more. When I’ve gone to the tennis courts nearby, I’ve also seen them playing softball, or is it baseball, on the field. There is quite a lot of parking when there’s nothing happen, but during tennis events and things happening on the field it can get quite full.
