Such a beautiful hidden gem. I only just discovered this place while pokemon hunting and my.. my.. beautifully maintained, Lawns, facilities, it was just mesmerizing and serene. Really good for the soul, captivating and alluring. Nature and its bold giants (massive trees) towers over you while you enjoy the stroll in the park. Hopefully, they'll be left alone and not chopped down as I saw some had been. I would revisit again and again.
Henderson Park
41A Wilsher Crescent, Henderson, Auckland 0612
Why these ages?
Compact toddler-suited play area with infant swing, single multi-play tower with slide on bark. Flat, open reserve well away from road (reviews specifically call out 'safe for children'). Opanuku Stream is south along a walkway - not adjacent to play area. Modest equipment for older kids; disc golf and huge open field extend play for whole family.
Access notes
The multi play tower, swings and infant swing all sit on bark surfacing per the description, and no accessible parking, path or toilet is described for the play area itself, only general park parking off Wilsher Crescent.
