Hillsborough Park Playground

Hillsborough Park Playground gives a wide toddler to primary age range plenty to do: a junior multi play unit with a slide for younger children, a larger multi play structure with slides for older ones, a spring toy and swings with an infant seat, all set on bark chip surfacing about four kilometres south east of central Christchurch.

Access and Inclusion

The site is flat, and paved paths and ramps run through sections of the playground, useful for pushchairs and for children with mobility needs. The playground is unfenced and opens onto the wider sports reserve.

Public toilets and seating are available on site, with on street parking on Garlands Road alongside the sports facilities. The park connects through to the Heathcote River pathway network for families who want to extend a visit into a longer walk.
